Only reason we tried this place was due to fairly good reviews and the constant battle of finding a place our kids will eat, since they only have about 3 things they will eat. Food was not good. They have pictures of pretty much every item on the menu. I ordered a beef stroganoff that was shown as having a brown gravy sauce but ended up having more of an Alfredo sauce. That said the sauce was ok, but the beef was terrible. My wife got veggie fajitas which they were kind enough to make even though it wasn't on the menu, she said they were very bland and the veggies were over cooked. My 7 year old loved her spaghetti, I didn't try it myself. Staff was very friendly and service was good.

I stopped here because yelp reviews are generally very useful. But this is the first time that I disagreed with the general reviews. It's kind of musty and would compare it to a motel 6 type. I saw a large party of 12 leave because no one serviced them. Poor service...the waiters and host kept blaming each other for why the service was poor. The host said "she is in the wrong industry...ask for me next time". And I never said a thing

On the way out to the west coast, we stopped for breakfast and it was wonderful. The eggs Benedict was great as well as the grits and scrambled eggs. Our waitress Alex was great, funny and very nice.. I'll have to go back one day and try their dinner menu..

Saw a sign on the side of the road for this place so we stopped. I got a chicken BLT - the chicken was rubbery. I should have gotten something breakfasty. My friend got eggs and steak- he said it was okay, steak was well seasoned. Our entire bill came to $18, so very reasonably priced. There was only one other table taken. I probably won't go back but it was nice to try something new.

Tried someplace different was not happy. Are server christin was great but the food unsatisfactory. I ordered prime rib that came with mashed potatoes ad peas and carrots. The mashed potato tasted like it was fresh out of a box. The peas and carrots looks like they just open the can and threw it in the microwave. My prime rib looked like it was microwaved and also had pieces of I have no idea on top like they burn the seasoning. My son had the cheese cannolis and the pasta was hard on the bottom. I do not recommend this place don't get me wrong the server was good no problems with the server the food was unsatisfactory. For $50 I expected a little bit better food. My family and I will not return again.

We been back several times, all the meals have been delicious and with the daily lunch and sometimes diner special we have not been able to try all they offer. The service has been excellent and it is a pleasure coming back for more. The name "Mix Grill" do justice for the variable meals and the flavor and presentation of the meals are for a very upscale restaurant. They continue to impress us.

We have only eaten breakfast here a few times but it has the best omelets and pancakes in the area. The food is plentiful and the prices are very reasonable. The staff is eager to please and the place is clean. A very nice addition to an area that has limited options for breakfast. They also have a varied menu for lunch and dinner.

Took my daughter here to eat on a Tuesday evening. The restaurant is very clean and conferring inside. The service was friendly and helpful. The food has HUGE portions. The meals tasted good but very very buttery. It was a decent meal. My only big complaint is they had this elderly couple singing as entertainment and it was, for lack of better terms, a very bad version of karaoke. The performance was very off putting. I would be more then happy to come back but I will definitely be sharing a meal with someone since the portions are massive and hopeful the elderly couple won't be singing.

I was so surprised to find this gem! What a terrific restaurant. I stopped by with four girlfriends for lunch, Friday around 12:30pm. It wasn't crowded. The service was fantastic. Two of us had grilled salmon with an orange reduction sauce. The meal, $12.95, came with two sides. I ordered broccoli and although sautéed spinach wasn't on the menu, they made it for me and it was fabulous. The other salmon meal was ordered with grilled vegetables which included egg plant...she said the vegetables were excellent. One friend ordered breakfast which was fairly standard, nothing to brag about. Another friend ordered the vegetable sandwich with fries....delicious. The last dish was grilled chicken with a white cheese sauce (similar to Alfredo, but authentic, not out of a jar) and the above mentioned delicious grilled vegetables. Don't hesitate to stop here. It is going to be a regular stop for us on our route from north central Florida to southwest Florida.

RATHER IMPRESSIVE This place has the "feel" of a Denny's, but it's considerably better. For our first visit, my wife & I stopped in for lunch and we each had their "Thursday Special": Tilapia with two sides. Two large pieces of tilapia were nicely blackened and the sides (sweet potato fries & broccoli for me, and jasmine rice & sauteed veggies for her) were very good. The cost? An unbelievable low $5.95 plus tax and tip. What's not to like?

Meh, not my favorite place I must say. Service was ok. Not sure if I will stop again. Food was very greasy and tasted like it was microwaved. it was just my experience.

We had breakfast and lunch here over the course of several days. Brazilian owned with several entrees with that South American influence...friendly service and good value lunches.

The menu choices were great. We went at noon on a Saturday. It was a bit busy and we did have a large group. We were seated wihout any waiting. Seriously, the portions were large that half of us needed boxes. I'm not sure if the serve staff was new as there were several accidents of spilling food and dinner wear. We had to also request corrections on our order, no onions please, but they did so with a smile. I really am going back and hoping for better organization. The food for the price was awesome.

Ok...came back in last night...couldn't wait for some excellent food. I thought that maybe I was just lucky the first night I ate here. I have to say, it was JUST as awesome the second time around! My server Brian was a really cool dude, very nice and chill. I had the veal saltimboca...EXCELLENT! I'm so happy this place is here and this will definitely be my go to spot from now on. Great job guys!

At first glance, the menu looks like a jack-of-all trades, master of none because of the wide variety: Mexican, italian, brazilian, american, etc. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised that my chicken fajitas were very tasty, although over-salted. It was a solid road-trip stop, but I wouldn't typically come here for dinner. Some others in my group got sandwiches that looked really tasty. Friendly service.

Thank you Mix Grill for a good inexpensive non franchised restaurant. The food is consistently good whether we have had breakfast, lunch or dinner. Never disappointed with food although service can be slow when at peak times. Hard to schedule servers to cover all hours of operation without some part timers in the peak hours. Love Monica the server and I like the technology they've invested in to help service issues. Give it a try....be patient....

A disappointment. Our orders were nothing unusual: my husband had corned beef hash, a poached egg, fruit, and toast. I had a cheese omelette, fruit, the Portuguese sausage, and and English muffin. We both had coffee, which came in a small pot. My husband did not care for the hash, and his egg resembled a boiled egg more than a poached egg. My cheese omelette came with broccoli and spinach. The replacement came after we had finished the rest of our food and the coffee. The omelette was made with mozzarella rather than the advertised cheddar. However, it was good, and the sausage was very good. Probably the problems were with the cook. We probably wouldn't go to this restaurant for breakfast again. Surely Fort Myers can do better.

I was happy this place moved into the Tice neighborhood. I work nearby so it is a great added option for lunch. The interior is cute and the menu was really diverse. I had a veggie sandwich- it was HUGE, but I probably would order something different next time. Service was great and everyone there was very friendly. A lot of my coworkers have also gone and enjoyed it. We will definitely be going back.

This place was absolutely incredible. Initially I was skeptical due to the location, but after reading the menu online we decided to try it. It was literally, hands down, the best Italian food I have had in SwFL. I had the steak goronzola pasta. The steak was cooked perfectly to order and the sauce was delicious. Not to mention the large portion size for only $13. Because it was so phenomenal, our entire family tried some of each others dishes. The lobster ravioli, eggplant parm, and chicken marsala were all to die for. I know that several restaurants have been at this location so I seriously hope that it lasts. I cannot wait to go back!

Had lunch at this establishment on Tuesday. Must say the restaurant itself is quiet beautiful, I was totally shocked giving its surroundings and location spot. I believe our servers name was Kathy, a very pleasant upbeat lively lady. Although she had no idea what the Portuguese soupish something was, we had a few kicks out of it and she did found out for us. Who knew it was sausage all this time hahaha. Nonetheless we ordered it with the half Turkey sandwiche, and the turkey triple decker. Turkey tasted a little different to us both, but we still picked. I do gotta say the portions were big and our service was great! Definitely made the experience and will return.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
